Christopher’s Story

Christopher Narloch is the owner of Narloch Piano Studio, a thriving business in Chicago.

“I teach all the lessons and I perform on the side for fun,” he said. “I’m my own boss and music is my career and my hobby. I love what I’m doing, and I must say that Viterbo planted the seeds.”

As a student at Viterbo, Narloch said he had opportunities that he wouldn’t have had at other universities, such as singing in Italy and Austria with the Viterbo Concert Choir.

“I realized right away that my education was going to be very extensive and thorough,” he said. “Viterbo offered music classes that many other universities didn’t and my piano instructor was impressive as both a performer and a teacher. He was a great fit for one-on-one instruction with me.”

Today, Narloch said he has a very satisfying and rewarding career as a business owner and piano teacher.

“I get to use everything I learned from Viterbo and my own experiences to try to create the ideal learning atmosphere,” he said. “I love it here.”
