CELEBRATE WITH THE MUSIC OF THE HOLIDAY SEASON AT "A VITERBO CHRISTMAS: OUT OF DARKNESS, LIGHT!" AT VITERBO UNIVERSITY DEC. 1–2

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Celebrate the Christmas season with the Viterbo University choirs as they present A Viterbo Christmas: Out of Darkness, Light! at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1 and 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2 in the Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.

Performing music of the season will be the Viterbo Concert Choir, Women’s Chorale, and 9th Street Singers, all under the direction of Viterbo music faculty member Brett Robison. Also performing are a professional orchestra and special guests, the Aquinas High School Concert Choir.

A Viterbo Christmas: Out of Darkness, Light! will weave music and narration as it tells the story of the birth of Christ.

“This is a wonderful opportunity to kick off the Christmas season by enjoying a variety of music,” Robison said. “The audience will have the opportunity to sing familiar carols accompanied by orchestra. I’m excited for our audiences to hear everything, from beautiful, touching anthems like Still, Still, Still arranged by Mack Wilberg to rocking gospel anthems like And Suddenly by Michael Engelhardt. There is something for everyone in this program.”

This performance is part of Viterbo University’s Bright Star Season. It is sponsored by Mayo Clinic Health System. WXOW-News 19 is the media sponsor.

Tickets are $20 for main floor, $17 for lower balcony, and $14 for upper balcony seating. For tickets, contact the Viterbo box office at 608-796-3100 or visit www.viterbo.edu/tickets.
