BUSINESS EXPERT AND AUTHOR JAMES HUNTER TO PRESENT “SERVANT LEADERSHIP: CREATING A CULTURE OF EXCELLENCE” AT VITERBO UNIVERSITY FEB. 19

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Business expert, author, and renowned speaker James Hunter will present “Servant Leadership: Creating a Culture of Excellence” at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19 in the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.

For more than 30 years, Hunter has presented to audiences around the world on the topics of leadership and developing high performing teams. He also assists organizations in creating a culture of excellence by growing leaders and building community. Hunter’s clients include the Federal Bureau of Investigation, American Express, Johnson & Johnson, Marriott, Nestlé, Procter & Gamble, the Defense Intelligence Agency, and the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps.

Servant Leadership is a values and relationship-based approach to leadership that seeks to create a high trust culture. It involves identifying and meeting the legitimate needs (as opposed to wants) of those entrusted to the care of the leader. It is a model for developing leaders of character who lead with influence.

Hunter is the author of the international best-selling books The Culture: Creating Excellence with those You Lead, The Servant: A Simple Story About the True Essence of Leadership, and The World’s Most Powerful Leadership Principle: How to Become a Servant Leader. His books have been translated into dozens of languages and have sold over 5.25 million copies worldwide. They also are used in many Master of Business Administration and other higher education programs around the world.
