Big Bang Friday

Friday, January 9, 2015

Approximately 60 students from area high schools were on campus Jan. 9 for “Big Bang Friday.” The sessions, which featured lab experiences and access to a variety of technology applications, explored medicinal chemistry, animal behavior, physiology, DNA analysis, and recreational math. “We wanted to have the students exposed to science and math in a way that is enjoyable and intellectually stimulating,” said Ward Jones, biology. “There are many rewarding careers in the fields of science and math and our goal was to stimulate further interest in these professions.” Click for more photos from the event.
