A BAND CALLED HONALEE TO PERFORM THE MUSIC OF PETER, PAUL, MARY AND FRIENDS AT VITERBO UNIVERSITY JAN. 26

LA CROSSE, Wis. – The modern-day folk rock trio A Band Called Honalee will perform a tribute to the music of Peter, Paul, and Mary and friends at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26 in the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.

Musically accomplished, interactive, and energetic, A Band Called Honalee draws inspiration from Peter, Paul, and Mary, The Mamas and the Papas, Simon and Garfunkel, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, The Byrds, and other legends of 1960s folk rock. By reinvigorating their iconic songs with fresh harmonies, A Band Called Honalee brings this vital American music back to life.

The group believes the melodies and messages of the 1960s folk and folk rock era are just as relevant today as they were when they were first sung, perhaps even more so. Their mission is to share this uniquely American music with new audiences, while rekindling the passion of lifelong fans. Most of all, they celebrate the power of these songs to inspire people and bring them together once again.

This performance is part of Viterbo’s NexStar Season and is sponsored by Mayo Clinic Health System and in part by a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts. The La Crosse Tribune is the media sponsor.

Tickets are $35 for main floor, $31 for lower balcony, and $25 for upper balcony seating. For tickets, contact the Viterbo box office at 608-796-3100 or visit www.viterbo.edu/tickets.
