Author Oscar Mireles will present “I Didn’t Know There Were Latinos in Wisconsin” at 10:10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 12 in Murphy Center room 432.

Mireles is the executive director of the Omega School. He has received numerous awards for his service to the community, including the Dane County Martin Luther King Jr. Award, Wisconsin Literacy Advocate of the Year, and the Friend of Education Award.

This presentation is being held in recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month.
