AUDITIONS FOR MISSOULA CHILDREN’S THEATRE’S THE PIED PIPER TO BE HELD AT THE WEBER CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS NOV. 3

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Auditions will be held for the Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) production of The Pied Piper Monday, Nov. 3 at the Weber Center for the Performing Arts in downtown La Crosse from 3:45–6 p.m. All those auditioning should arrive at 3:45 p.m. and plan to stay until 6 p.m. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the auditions.

Among the roles to be cast are the Pied Piper, Sara, the Mayor’s son and daughter, the Mayor’s Council, cooks, townskids, and the troublesome rats. Students in grades K–12 grade are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary. Assistant directors will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week and to take on essential backstage responsibilities.

The Missoula Children’s Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props, and makeup. MCT Tour actor/directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week from 4–8:30 p.m. each day.

The Pied Piper will be presented on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. at the Weber Center for the Performing Arts. The Missoula Children’s Theatre residency in La Crosse is presented by Viterbo University with support from Ronald McDonald House Charities of Western Wisconsin and Southeastern Minnesota. The residency is sponsored in part by a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts. Soft Rock 101.1 KHME is the media sponsor.
