Auditions to be Held for Missoula Children’s Theatre Production of Treasure Island at Viterbo University
LA CROSSE, Wis. – Auditions will be held for the Missoula
Children's Theatre (MCT) production of Treasure
Island on Monday, November 11 at the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center
from 3:45 p.m. to 6 p.m. Those auditioning should arrive at 3:45 p.m. and
plan to stay for the full two hours and fifteen minutes. Some of the cast
members may be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the
auditions.
Among the roles to be cast are Jim
Hawkins, his six sisters, a rollicking Pirate Crew, Jim’s Ruffian Friends,
seacoast Villagers, and cuddly Gulls. Students grades K-12 are encouraged to
audition. No advance preparation is necessary. Assistant directors will also be
cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week and to take on essential
backstage responsibilities.
The Missoula Children's Theatre (MCT)
touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup. MCT
Tour Actor/Directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week from 4 p.m. to
8:30 p.m. each day.
Treasure Island
will be presented on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 1 and 4 p.m. at the Viterbo
University Fine Arts Center. The Missoula Children's Theatre residency in La
Crosse is supported by Ronald McDonald House Charities of Western Wisconsin and
Southeastern Minnesota and is sponsored in part by a grant from the Wisconsin
Arts Board, with funds from the State of Wisconsin. Mix 96.1 is the media
sponsor.
