Viterbo University begins the “Ver Sacrum,” the Holy Springtime of Lent with Ash Wednesday, Feb. 10.

The Ash Wednesday schedule in San Damiano Chapel:

• 7:30 a.m. Catholic Mass
• 11:15 a.m. All Christian Service with Fr. Conrad Targonski and Rev. Bill Reese (11:15 a.m. classes are cancelled to permit attendance.)
• 5:15 p.m. Catholic Mass

“Once, St. Francis was by the Lake of Perugia on Carnival day, at the house of a man devoted to him, and where he was lodged for the night. He was inspired by God, to go to make that Lent on an island of the lake.
