Through the generous support of the D.B. Reinhart Institute for Ethics in Leadership and 3M, the 2017 Viterbo Summer Service-Learning Scholars (SSLS) pilot program will provide faculty-student-community collaborative research teams with the opportunity to engage in meaningful, academically-grounded, community-based projects for eight weeks during the summer (similar to the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship Program).
Teams will investigate questions or issues related to identified community needs using an academic framework and service-learning, community-based research, or action research methodology. Teams from all academic disciplines (or combinations of disciplines) are encouraged to apply.
More information is available online. The application deadline is Friday, March 31. Contact Kirsten Gabriel with any questions.
